Creating a message content and its attachment

The template modification window consists of two tabs – “Contents” and “Attachment”.
For your message content, you may use the following formats:
1) FRX file: format that can be modified in the built-in FastReport module. Manual for modifying FRX files can be found HERE.
2) SMS message (to send SMS messages, the “Integration with SMSapi module” must be purchased first). By clicking the “Message text” option you may create the SMS content. You may also use the pre-created variables which will be automatically replaced by KWHotel with true data.
Example: Welcome {guest_name_short}! Your reservation ID {reservationId} has been confirmed.
Result: Hello Adam! Your reservation ID 8453 has been confirmed.
3) HTML / XML file: allows you to create a message, using a simple HTML editor. When editting message in the HTML editor, you may use the pre-created variables which will be automatically replaced by KWHotel with true data.
Example: Welcome {{Customer.Name}}! Your reservation ID {{Stay.ReservationID}} has been confirmed.
Result: Welcome Adam! Your reservation ID 8453 has been confirmed.
4) Contents: allows you to insert simple text that will be send to your guest via email. By clicking the “Message text” option you may create the content. You may also use the pre-created variables which will be automatically replaced by KWHotel with true data.
Example: Welcome {guest_name_short}! Your reservation ID {reservationId} has been confirmed.
Result: Hello Adam! Your reservation ID 8453 has been confirmed.
5) URL: allows you to insert a URL address that will be displayed by KWHotel. The methods of displaying information located in such URL have been explained HERE. By using the “Message text” button, you should ONLY insert the URL address you wish to use.
The below .GIF animation presents an act of creating SMS, HTML and URL templates. The .FRX format has been skipped because you may find the proper manual HERE. The “Contents” format is filled in the same way as the SMS.

For your message attachment, you may use the following formats:
1) FRX file: format that can be modified in the built-in FastReport module. Manual for modifying FRX files can be found HERE.
2) RDLC file: the older version of document templates used in the previous KWHotel releases. Such files can only be modified using the external Microsoft Visual Studio software.
3) Any file: lets you load any file (i.e. hotel regulations in the .PDF format).
4) POST file: lets you load POST file types.
Having finished the template creation, hit the “Save” button.
